On February 25th, 2018, Keiarj proposed to Shantese.

That day started off with Shantese being dropped to a church service by Keiarj. She stood as a godmother for one of her closest friends and really needed to get out of the house after being put on bedrest earlier on. Before being dropped off, they discussed how she would get around after the service and the expecting plans after taking photos.

After leaving the church, taking pictures and getting ready to be seated for dinner, the plan was for Shantese to be picked up by Keiarj to meet with a coworker (of Keiarj) or so Shantese thought. She had been tricked by her best friend who made her believe that he wanted to have his after eats by Shantese's parents house; she had been tricked by Keiarj who made these fake plans and later she realised she had been tricked by he family and friends.

When they arrived at Shantese's parents home, she realised that they had thrown her a surprise baby shower that she thought she was planning for herself. It was so funny because everyone had known about it for weeks and was a bit confused when Shantese started to send invitations out for her shower.

After socializing, eating and playing games, it was time to open the gifts! When the expecting parents had opened the last gift, a voice shouted out that there was one more gift to open, so everyone waited to see the last gift. It was a shoe box! Keiarj took the box from his friend (the voice) and opened, pulled out a white t-shirt, smiled and turned it around so that it could face Shantese. On the shirt it said "WILL YOU MARRY ME? YES NO. Keiarj got down on one knee and everyone started rejoicing. It was so loud, Shantese simply put up both thumbs, shock her head and replied yes!
