His story.
I never would have guessed...12/26/2007
Well, I've been asked several times how we meet. There are 2 different stories about that, hers and the truth (mine). LOL I was just supposed to meet some friends to watch the Purdue game at OPT's (Old Pros Table), a bar in Broadripple. Little did I know, that decision would forever change my life. Anyway, the game was about half way over when I noticed this really familiar and attractive blonde walking in and setting at the table across from ours. I was kind of thinking she was a relative of a coworker of mine, or someone I had met before. I just couldn't place where I had met her before or why she looked so familiar. Well, a little bit later one of our buddies had some how double ordered a pitcher of beer and now we had two and half of our party was leaving. I took this opportunity to go over to her and this table full of women she was with and offer them a free pitcher of beer. (we had already talked to a few of them earlier that night) I asked her in my best sexy NON-pick-up line..."Do I know you, have we meet before". And without even looking at me, she said "NO." I couldn't place it, but I just knew I had seen her somewhere before. So I asked if she had ever lived in Fort Wayne. (my home town) She kind of glanced over her shoulder rolled her eyes and said "NO! I’m not from around here." On that note I tucked my tail between my legs and went back to my table feeling like a total idiot. LOL A little while later, one of her friends that we had spoken to earlier came over and thanked us for the beer and sat down to hang out a bit. She was getting along pretty well with my friend Doug. Next thing I know Celeste comes over and sits down next to me and strikes up a conversation. We seemed to hit it off, so I was really feeling quite fortunate at this point. The more we talked the more I felt like this was a women that I really wanted to get to know. I learned a lot about who she was and what she had been through in her time here in Indy. The more we talked, the more I want to know.
She's my hero...
It's been said that you tend to be attracted to a partner that reflects traits that your father/mother had. This is one of the reasons I believe I was so drawn to Celeste. I grew up in a single parent household and I saw all the sacrifices my mother made for me and my brothers and sisters. When we met, Celeste was a single mother just starting nursing school and taking care of/raising 2 small children. She made hard choices like renting out her home and moving in with her parents so she could afford to go back to school while the renters paid her mortgage. She, like my mother, is a very strong woman. She is also very modest about that fact. I look up to her so much. She encourages me, helps me, nurtures me, and makes me a better person. She is truly my better half and I only hope I can always be the man she truly deserves.

Her story.
Ok so mine wouldn't fit but it was my last day at my previous job, I had to quit so that I could go to nursing school! So I guess I was celebrating unemployment also lol! I went out after dinner with my manager's daughter, who I should thank since I never met her before and havn't seen her since! We went to this little pub type place in broadripple and I was feeling kinda out of place since I knew nobody! And out of nowhere this big guy comes up next to me and slides this lame pick up line in about seeing me somewhere before! Ya right ha! I was smarter than that. just playing, (he was very hot!, but I was taken off gaurd and not at all looking for any type of dating relationship I just blew him off) sorry hun, love ya! Well my managers daughter went up to his table where his buddy and him were hanging out watching a game and I overhear her talking about a crockpot her boyfriend had given her for xmas and how much she loved it, I'm thinking hmm wierd. So not knowing anyone else there I decided to join him and well he seemed pretty nice and we exchanged phone numbers but didnt think I would hear from him and no intention of calling him first I left that night thinking I'd never hear from him again. 2 min later I recieved my first of several txt, still blew him off for a few days but then decided ok why not and we went out in January and the rest is history! He is an amazing man who knows how to make me smile laugh and cry (in good ways)! Its great to have such a strong man spirtually and mentally that you can count on, the love he has for Dominic and Janessa is amazing he is Dad to them and I wouldnt have it any other way. I cant imagine life with out him and cant wait to spend the rest of my life growing with him. God has blessed us in so many ways and without Him we wouldn't be who we are today. So thanks to everyone who took the time to read this ..I know it makes some people sick to hear all the mushy stuff lol! But hey I wouldnt have it any other way!! See ya!!!!
