Our story began with a laptop, some downtime and a twist of fate on Yahoo.
We're not the only people that have met their mate on line but every time we think about it we are so grateful for that perfect moment.
I was attracted to the way Dirk wrote what he wanted to say and couldn’t wait for the next question or statement he would make. I found myself going to the laptop first thing to see if I had a message and if I did what would it say?
Well after a few weeks of IM’s we took it a step further... A phone call and WOW! What a voice this man has, melting material.
He now had me hooked on the content of our conversations along with the sound of his voice.
After months of IM’s and phone calls talking about our lives, feelings, philosophies, religion and of course politics.
We came out of all of that with much the same feelings and thoughts. Whew!
So step #3 let’s meet face to face. I was soooooooooooo scared, because we had never seen each other and this was the test to find out if we had chemistry off the laptop.
We met in a public place we were on the phones trying to find each other when we both turned around and saw one another. I couldn’t stop smiling and later on Dirk told me that he almost couldn’t breathe and that he had never seen anyone so beautiful.
From that moment on we really didn’t want to be apart from each other. I knew I found the only man I wanted to grow old with.
So on November 22nd we’ll began our journey together.
Our Wedding will be in exotic Jamaica at the Breezes Resort.
Barefoot on the beach at Sunset. Enjoying temperatures around 82 degrees in November. We plan on a couple of days of fun in the sun before our marriage along with romance and relaxation for the rest of our lives.
Our Reception will be back in our home town in Arizona with our children, family members and our closest friends. We will be celebrating our marriage on Thanksgiving at my Best friend’s house with many of the people that Dirk and I are so thankful to have in our lives.
We'll be flying to Jamaica, however on this flight we won't be jumping out of the plane before it lands. :)
We truly wish that everyone we love could be there with us as we exchange our vows and devotion. All of you will be with us in our hearts as if you were there.
The only thing Dirk and I would like would be a little help to share our wedding day with all of you through pictures.
