We first met in choir class at Union High School. Cheryl sat in the alto section and Curtis with the tenors. Over the duration of the semester, Cheryl often admired Curtis. While our love didn't come to fruition at this time, we went on about our separate ways. Over the course of the next 15 years, our paths crossed many times (although not at the same times). Then one day, Facebook auto-generated a friend request of Cheryl to Curtis. He accepted. We began to talk via chat and often chatted late in to the evenings, followed by hours of telephone conversation. We cherished their chat/phone dates but nothing could have prepared us for the face-to-face date. When we met for our first date, we both said "I'm done, you're the one." With this resolution, our love continued to grow. Curtis proposed on New Years 2009.
The wedding will be held at Metropolitan Baptist Church, 4025 North Hartford Avenue, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74106. The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 pm. The reception will immediately follow at the Bernsen Center in downtown Tulsa. As this is an evening ceremony, cocktail/evening attire is expected.

Our reception will be held on the 4th floor The Bernsen Community Center of First Presbyterian Church located at 709 South Boston Avenue, Tulsa, OK 74119. Free parking is located in front of the building. We have planned a wonderful pasta buffet meal with table side salad service. Hors d'ovres and punch will be served prior to the event. The event will include a night filled with dancing and a champagne toast (sparkling apple cider will aslo be made available).
