Ellens story: Kevin and I met online. We talked for a month before we met each other and almost did not.
He almost backed out because he was afraid that with not much money, 4 boys plus mentoring several others, it was alot for anyone.
I almost backed out because although we had an amazing connection online and on the phone, I did not picture what he looked like, then two days before we met he sent me his picture and I was floored.
No way would this amazing stunning looking guy want to date me. I even asked him again you DO know what I look like right? lol!
Luckily we both took a chance on love and it was instant love. It was scary how quick it happened. Like all those songs sing about, and people never want to hear about you gushing over love. To this day I look at him with amazement wondering what he is doing with me.
We both share a passion for children, wanting to know our children are safe and happy,. We respect each other and say I love you everyday. We try to live drama free. We share a deep love of music, laughter and trying to keep humor in our lives in these trying times. We are both proud of our military sons and daughter in law. We try to lead by example. We accept each other as we are, far from perfect, and both have enough baggage to fill a plane. But we also have enough love to make it through anything.
Kevin has been the man I always dreamed of .. He is the best father I know, My son is a man and I never thought he would ever consider another man his dad, but he feels Kevin is his dad. I love all his boys as if they were my own.. He is passionate in everything he does and everything he does he does well.
When I had my surgery he took a month off to care for me and had stood by me through my darkest times. As I said its not perfect on either side but I know I have my knight in shining armor.
I am going to step out for a moment and let him say a few words on his thoughts on our story.
Kevins story: I feel when we met I was so deep in the mud it would take 10 men to pull me out.....I was dumbfounded to realize that it only took one strong willed woman that believed in me, of course that was my Ellie. She has put me back together in so many ways, not only physically or mentally, but spiritually. Our meeting seemed almost magnetic even though it almost never happened. For many reasons we were bonded together...many reasons I have no words for. But all in all when the day is done I am the luckiest man ever. She brings me wealth beyond anything I could ever dream of. I am very honored she will soon be a DeBord.
The Wedding Date is 3/28/09 at 3:00 p.m.. The Location is Breezes Runaway Bay Jamaica.
We hope to locally have a small reception soon after we get back from Jamaica.

To our loved ones here with us now. Thank you for being there with us, through the hard times, the good times, to share our laughter, tears and hugs. We have lived and lost enough to know whats important, and the blessing of your love and friendship and trust is priceless.
To our children Michael, (moriah), Patrick, Alex,(amber) Nick, Daniel,sarah, (matt) Grandchildren Maddy and Ryker , along with our adopted ones Marquise, Damontae and the rest of you. You are why we get up and face each day, You are our greatest blessings of all.
