Mike proposed to me on Valentines Day 2008! We had plans to go out to eat with some friends of ours. He just couldn’t wait for me to go home and get ready first. So Kaden and I stopped by his house on my way home from work to open my Valentines gift . Not only did he have a gift for me, but he had purchased Spiderman candy for Kaden. My gift was a jewelry box. I opened the drawers to the jewelry box and saw what looked to be a ring box. I am not going to lie my heart was beating, I just knew! When I opened the ring box there was a beautiful journey necklace inside of it. I felt ridiculous for thinking that he was going to propose. Then Mike insisted that I help him pick out his clothes for the night. When I went into the bedroom there was a teddy bear holding a red heart box. You guessed it… in that box was my engagement ring. Mike got down on his knee and of course I said yes! Kaden and I are looking forward to Mike being my husband and his step dad!

We will be having a destination wedding at Breezes Resort in Runaway Bay, Jamaica. We are so excited about our choice to have a small intimate destination wedding. We will be heading out of Memphis on June 7, 2009 and returning June 14, 2009. Our special day will be June 10, 2009 at 11:00 am on the beach at our resort. Although we can't have everyone there in person will be thinking of all of you.
