We were friends in high school.  We wish we could remember how good of friends we were but we can't. After high school we lost touch, as many friends do.

Fast forward twenty years...we reconnected on Facebook, began chatting, and saw each other at our 20 year high school reunion. 

We began talking on the phone and commenting on each other's blogs (flirting, some would say).  In one of our many conversations, he told me he had never asked a girl out on a date.  Funny, he asked me out to the same date three times.

Two years later, he got down on one knee at the gazebo (pictured here) and asked me to marry him March 21, 2012. I said, "Yes! Absolutely!" 

We love each other with all of our hearts and after two years of being engaged, we are ready to become husband and wife.

After patiently saving for two years and working many extra jobs, we have finally set our date and booked our wedding!

We will be married August 14, 2014 in the Bahamas!  It will be a quaint intimate ceremony between just the two of us...barefoot, in the sand, and on the beach.  It's perfect and quite an accomplishment we are very excited about!
